Sophie Thornton – Hypnotherapist
MY PERSONAL VIEW
You don’t have to suffer thinking its impossible to release yourself from negative emotions that hold you back from living your life to the full. There are amazing techniques that can help and often in a really short space of time!
As a hypnotherapist I utilise these up to the minute techniques to get the best results in the least amount of time.
You can let go of past traumas, distressing memories, fears, phobias, anxiety, panic attacks or bad habits in quite often just one session. With these energetic techniques our brain learns fast and personal freedom can be achieved in just one or a few enjoyable sessions.

ABOUT ME AND MY PRACTICE
I have been practicing as a hypnotherapist since qualifying in 2000, initially working in Mid Sussex until I moved to Eastbourne in 2009. I regularly attend seminars and training to ensure that I am up to date with new techniques and research, and am always searching for therapies that will effectively help people in the shortest possible time allowing them to acquire skills that give them the independence to treat them
“I was recommended to Sophie Thornton by my osteopath who knew of her success from a partner in his practice, it was with some trepidation but an open mind that I made an appointment to see her. Armed with my long list of fears I went along to what I thought was going to be the first of many sessions, surely we would not be able to deal with all these age old fears in one visit, but I was wrong, Sophie calmly and gently dealt with every issue in a relaxed systematic way using the effective TFT treatment sequence, I was asked to think of the fear, work through the sequence and then re-evaluate my level of fear and every time after doing this the fear had in most cases disappeared, for the fears that were slightly more difficult to eradicate we would repeat the sequence to ensure that the fear had gone. Although I found doing this quite exhausting the sense of release afterwards was just incredible, I felt as if years and years of being weighed down by irrational fears had been removed, I felt lighter and calmer with a sense of inner peace. Three months on, I can honestly say that this treatment has changed my life, now I do not even think that I ever had the fears! I have encountered things that I previously feared and avoided without so much as even thinking about them, they are simply not an issue any more.
Thank you Sophie and TFT for changing my life.”
“I first approached Sophie Thornton for treatment just after being diagnosed with Breast Cancer. I will admit to being a little sceptical but thought I really must give it a try. How pleased I am that I did.
At first Sophie treated me for anxiety as I was dreading having a Mastectomy and she helped me to be as calm as I could be in the circumstances, and then the added support after my operation. However the best and most satisfactory treatment was when I started Chemotherapy. The self treatment was wonderful and Sophie was always there if I needed to ask any questions.
Needless to say I am no longer sceptical and would recommend Thought Field Therapy and Sophie to anyone!”

“We have just got back from our holiday in America, so I thought I would just let you know how the flying went. I used the CD and tapping techniques the night before we went, but didn’t feel the need at the airport or on the plane. I was only slightly apprehensive on the flight out to Denver- by no means terror struck. When we were out there I took a flight over Monument Valley, which was great apart from occasional slight anxiety as it was quite turbulent- but after the first few bumps I sat back and thoroughly enjoyed it. I then took a fantastic helicopter flight over the Grand Canyon. The only problem there was that it didn’t last long enough- it was amazing. I was so relaxed and awed I wished it could have gone on and on. Our flights home were Las Vegas- Chicago, Chicago- Heathrow. Even with quite a bit of turbulence it was a doddle. I’ll even go so far as to say I enjoyed it- and I never gave using the CD or tapping a single thought after the initial flight out (I will keep it just in case for the future- though I don’t think I’ll need it again!) Never thought I’d be in that situation.
So thank you again, what a difference it has made. It meant I was able to enjoy the holiday to the full and Jon was able to sit back and relax without having to worry about me. Money very well spent!”
